Boy Band Update

By Jinkee | January 15, 2009

I recently have watched a bit of the international “So You Think You Can Dance” and I wonder why they didn’t include one of the boy bands. Their dancing skills are pretty amazing I think. I have updated my boy band page with another video that will demonstrate this. In other news lacrosse season has begun and India’s team won their season opener 12-4. Gabe has begun another semester of Japanese at Saddleback Community College. He is in Japanese 3 now though I have yet to actually hear him speak Japanese. He will only occasionally read a Japanese label, then after reading it say “I wonder what that means.”

Wow is it the New Year already!

By Jinkee | January 3, 2009

Well I guess my updating this blog twice a month is a bit ambitious as I seem to have missed the entire month of December without an update. So I hope to make up all that lost time. I have updated the family video page and added a new family New Years video for 2009. I will also be adding some new boy band goodness so check that out when you have the time.

Recap of the last bit of 2008: After Gabe’s b-day my mom came to visit and we spent the day in Hollywood and went to Ripley’s and the Wax Museum and to Groman,s Chinese Theatre. India didn’t recognize anybody except Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. But below is a picture we took for LaVetta.  India’s soccer team the IceBreakers ended up taking second in the area Championships! Thanksgiving found us in Northern California we stayed with Mike and Nancy (Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!). The picture is the kids at the Discovery Center at Berkeley. Lastly Christmas was in Utah where much fun was had. It was wonderful to have a white Christmas. And lastly, lastly check out the family video to see how we spent the first day of the New Year.

Boy Bands

By Jinkee | November 6, 2008

One thing I really love are boy bands. It is unfortunate that India’s generation currently doesn’t have a boy band that they can go ga ga over. Some might say the Jonas Brothers are a boy band, but they are NOT, just by the simple fact that they do not Dance! Boy Bands have to Dance! They are also best if they have 5 members, 2 that can sing, 3 Back up vocals, A Boy next door, A Bad Boy, A Prince, One that seems not to fit, and A Baby (meaning a very young member). OH Yeah I almost forgot they also need coordinating outfits when they perform. That is the perfect Boy Band Combination. Check out the Boy Band Page for Boy Band Videos and occasional other Boy Band Goodness.

Gabe 16th Birthday

By Jinkee | November 5, 2008

We had Gabe’s 16th Birthday Party on Halloween; Here is his fabulous cake made by Jodie. Gabe thought this cake was the highlight of his party. It was really delicious too. It is a Banana Cake with a vanilla frosting. When we cut it, Gabe got the Pikachu and the other characters went to the kids who could name them. We did however have to do a little tweeking to the cake (sorry Jodie) because Gabe noticed that the Pokeball was upside down (When it was brought over the white side of the ball was down) so Gabe had to fix it as he felt that Pokemon enthusiast would of course notice that :)
