Best Mother's Day Ever!

For Mother’s Day Weekend Matt and I got to see my current favorite boybands SS501! On saturday we went to the Korean Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl. It was seriously alot of fun even though we could hardly understand anything that was going on. Matt was totally awesome as photographer and videographer, so I could be a total fangirl. During SS501 he was totally cool as I was screaming at him to video tape this part and take a picture of this, and video tape that guy not that guy cause he is my favorite. Poor Matt trying to get me a steady video as he is surrounded by screaming fangirls. As I had threatened him with certain death if we got home and I found his video to be substandard. Luckily he did a great job, I am a very, very, happy wife! I will be creating a new page just for the Hollywood Bowl as Matt took over 200 pictures and about 12 videos and I will post the best stuff.

A New Discovery!

While visiting my mom in Utah a new boy band has caught my attention. There I was in Nordstrom’s, I hear this catchy song that I recall hearing once before, I look up and on the video monitor are 5 boys dancing, singing and wearing coordinating outfits! This boy band seems to fit all the boy band criteria and even better they sing in English! Could this signal the return of the boy band era?! If so it would be just in time for my darling daughter India’s Middle School Years. Because what is adolescence without a boy band crush. So without further ado here are the details. The groups name is Varsity Fanclub I haven’t had an opportunity to do much research but here is a link to there wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varsity_Fanclub

Boy Band Update

I recently have watched a bit of the international “So You Think You Can Dance” and I wonder why they didn’t include one of the boy bands. Their dancing skills are pretty amazing I think. I have updated my boy band page with another video that will demonstrate this. In other news lacrosse season has begun and India’s team won their season opener 12-4. Gabe has begun another semester of Japanese at Saddleback Community College. He is in Japanese 3 now though I have yet to actually hear him speak Japanese. He will only occasionally read a Japanese label, then after reading it say “I wonder what that means.”

Boy Bands

One thing I really love are boy bands. It is unfortunate that India’s generation currently doesn’t have a boy band that they can go ga ga over. Some might say the Jonas Brothers are a boy band, but they are NOT, just by the simple fact that they do not Dance! Boy Bands have to Dance! They are also best if they have 5 members, 2 that can sing, 3 Back up vocals, A Boy next door, A Bad Boy, A Prince, One that seems not to fit, and A Baby (meaning a very young member). OH Yeah I almost forgot they also need coordinating outfits when they perform. That is the perfect Boy Band Combination.
